Since being elected in 2010 I have made it one of my top priorities to reinvest in Costa Mesa’s ageing infrastructure.Past Councils failed to make the proper financial commitment and we were seeing our roads, alleys and parks fall by the wayside.
Over the past 4 years this Council has dedicated over $27,000,000 dollars to slurry seal streets, fix alleyways (that have notoriously flooded), install new vegetation, curbs & medians, and create plans to restore dilapidated neighborhoods. I am very proud to have worked with City Staff to implement this vision, and the following projects are a direct result of all the hard work: see full report here.
Work underway on a major catch basin to reduce flooding and improve water quality. This is part of a $4.7 million dollar project. See full report here.
East 17th Street is undergoing much needed improvements now through October. See full report here.
