We are all blessed to live in Costa Mesa and we need to work together to maintain our safe community. Over the past few years, thanks to good planning, police work, and most importantly, community effort, we have seen crime rates fall. This combined effort has had a huge impact on many neighborhoods in the city and more people are looking to invest here and plant roots. This revitalization is important to attract young families who are the lifeblood of any thriving city, and they need to feel safe and assured that Costa Mesa is the best place to raise a family.

Recently, the City and the Costa Mesa Fire Department came together with a plan to provide more efficient services and faster responses. Thanks to Chief Stefano, his staff, and our city CEO, we were able to formulate a plan that will improve the department while helping the City with long term financial obligations.

Chief Sefano discussed the restructuring in this article.
